Never heard or saw these wheels until a post awhile back about the History Of Cragar here. I came across this set of NOS 15x6 Cragar Sparkler Wheels w GM 5 on 4-3/4 bolt pattern in mint condition, complete with caps in the original boxes, Cragar Wheels instruction booklets, Warranty cards, and Cragar waterslide decals that came as a set in each box. These are beautiful wheels, a combination of chrome steel outer, mated to a shotpeened aluminum center that has this awesome shimmer that glistens like cast aluminum. Truly a stunning wheel. Really dig the look. I'll post some closeup details for you all to enjoy.

NFS! I'll list in the cl***ified section if I change my mind though. Just wanted to show to everyone in case they had never seen these before.

  11. That's the same as the Gt but in silver instead of gray. I didn't know they were called the sparkler.

Man, I will trade you a set of NOS '74 Dodge spark plugs for those! All eight!

That is freaking awesome... being a full set of 15x6s, those need to go to a Los Boulevardo member. :)

  17. Now that is a great find, They sure do look like a nice compliment to the 200S wheels. The sparklers would look good on the 55. Cragar should do those wheels again, I certainly would buy a set.

  18. Well, l'm jealous..nice score.

Hmmm, how about a '64 Impala or Grand Prix hardtop, slightly lowered, dark color like midnight blue or deep maroon, these wheels and pinstripe F70 whitewalls.

    Cool wheels Brad!

    Showoff..............

    damb....those are hot....

  24. A local guy has a set of those on his 71/72 Chevelle he bought new(both the car and the rims). The rears are 14 x8 deep dish and the fronts are 14 x6 complete with old Daytona bias belted tires.

    Still holding up fairly well.
    Nice score.

  25. Fascinating! I remember seeing a set when I was a kid! Funny how as soon as you see or hear something you get an automatic flashback.....

Too cool, I've stared at that ad many times, wondering if any of those were actually sold - never seen them in person!

Similar, but not exactly the same. GTs have a full aluminum face welded to the steel rim, while the Sparklers are aluminum center to steel rim, like the S/S. See my avatar (yes I have a pair of GTs, although the avatar isn't them)
