Awesome. I know I posted something before on those in the Cragar thread...I have seen them in magazines but never in person, or even a close up view like you posted. Thank You. I will keep a watch in the cl***ifieds if you ever do decide to sell them.

I've never seen those before. Very cool. It's even cooler that they are complete with all the boxes/literature/etc.

Not quite. The GT had the aluminum extend out to the edge of the wheel. These are more like S/S's. The centers have a matte finish rather than a shiny chrome finish. Sort of looks like a 4th of July sparkler before you light it.

Never been a Cragar fan, but those are pretty cool. Nice find, and some real cool history.

If there were ever a set of wheels I wish they'd remake, it'd be these. Pure awesomeness.

Hey Dale - good to hear from you. I recently checked out your build on the coupe...really cool man. You have always had great vision with stuff vintage. I miss having you around here. Hope all is well with the new life in AZ, and congrats, sounds like you found a good woman.

    Take care,

    Brad

  19. Ok... now all you gotta do is find some 8" Cragars and pop those centers out of two of them, and pop them into the 8"ers and put them on your *****en '55!!

Thanks for the positive comment on the 34 build. It has been a long road to get this far. yes, All is well here is AZ. The weather took a turn for the worse yesterday. I felt like I was back in Wash. again We got snow up on the hills last night, Brrrrrrr! And yes, I did find me a good woman. Anybody that'll put up with me is gotta be tolerant to say the least. I was reading the thread on the Willys coupe awhile back and it brought back some memories of my old shop and hanging out. I am happy with my 34 though. No regreats. Those rims are sweet. They would look great on a Tri-Five for sure. Take care---Dale

Funny, I'm actually the blind one... I bought the GTs I have from a cold dark garage after a long day at work... I thought I was buying a pair of off-brand torq thrust copies and didn't know what I actually bought until I opened the trunk a couple days later!!

  25. I have some old rusty cragars with peeling chrome on the centers. I am going to blast them and go with that look!

I remembered this thread....and I've always loved Cragars, but I hated the way the chrome wouldn't last. Well I haven't even looked at new wheels in years but I needed a set so I looked around some. Found Cragar has a one piece aluminum S/S out now available with a painted center...I had to have a set. They will be here next week.
