Technical Cragar transmission adapter to Desoto Hemi 341cui. What starter do I use???

    Starter Question for a Cragar transmission adapter to flathead ford..
    What starter to use????

    Stock. I have that adapter on my 241 Dodge. I use the stock Dodge starter.

    I have a starter to a 276cui but it's does not fit, to tight....

    It should be a big clumsy looking thing with two mounting holes. As I remember from when I built the car, I had to relieve part of the nose to get it to clock around and clear the flywheel. Chrysler used the same starter on a bunch of engines. I think the flat 6 engines used them also. How much is the hole difference? I have a spare NOS adapter and could measure the hole diameter.

  10. You might want to look at a newer 318 starter out of a dakota. These mini starters work in alot of these situations. I have used the for years in gen 1 and 2 hemis for years.
