Have you tried printing it off thier website? I believe all you need is the cam # you have. Second box down on the right side at cranecams.com
It's not listed in my '83 catalog but from the numbers it is a Commander 288 Hydraulic PN 110991. 288 is the advertised duration for the intake, most Commander cams were split duration. My guess is that it's a little older than '83, if someone has a late 70's catalog it may be in there.
Sorry I should have tried the number myself before I suggested it. Try calling them. I know I have an old one that did not match up either, and found out that it was very close to a new# they listed but with different separation angle.
Yes they did get bought out. I have friends in Daytona that may have contacts that worked for Crane. The numbers 11-09-91 match your part number. I figured that was a manufacture date. Thanks, TJ
i have a 282 nc ...its a 518/536 282/288 solid its from 87...could your be the next one up, somewhere around 550ish?
The CCH-288-2 is a hydraulic lifter camshaft for the basic 1957-87 Chevrolet 262-400 V8 small block. The cam lobe lift is .305" intake, .315" exhaust. Gross valve lift based on the standard 1.5:1 ratio rocker arms is .458" intake, .473" exhaust. Advertised duration is 288 degrees intake, 296 degrees exhaust. The duration at .050" cam lift is 226 degrees intake, 234 degrees exhaust. Cam timing at .050" lift is: intake opens 4 degrees BTDC, intake closes 42 degrees ABDC, exhaust opens 56 degrees BBDC, exhaust closes 2 degrees BTDC. The lobe separation is 114 degrees. The basic power range is 2600-6400 RPM. This should have good mid-range torque, and a fair idle, with a minimum compression ratio of 9.5:1 recommended. The latest version of this is Crane Cams part number 113821. Regards, Chase
Sounds like a cool cam for a 327-350 with flat tops, 65cc heads and 180 degree high rise dual plane intake manifold. Maybe some 3.55's-3.73's out back. Yes?? No??........
