A friend of mine posted these on his facebook. I was unaware that he'd been through this. He was driving the 1940 Olds(1953 crash) and front seat center in the 57 Ford(1960 crash). Walked away from the Olds crash and a couple of broke bones in the 57 crash. He is currently 79 years old and going strong! On the 57 crash, all five occupants survived but the tow truck driver, while pulling the engine up an embankment had the cable snap and came back and hit him in the head and he remained in a coma for the rest of his life.
It's mind boggling to think that anyone survived that '57. ****! Were people just tougher back then? Geez!
A friend of my Dad' lost his daughter when the tow truck cable snapped, she was decapitated. Throw a jacket on that cable first.
Might not of walked away but oviously you survived it! Ran a towing company for 10 years, breaking cables always scared the heck out of me, always made sure the trucks had good cables and told my drivers to be down out of the way of them when pulling hard and that the customers were nowhere near them.
