Curious to see if anyone had ever used -- or even knew about -- performance crate engines from NAPA.

The site (http://www.napaengine.com/) says it's Hi-Tech Engine Components, Salt Lake City, UT.

I don't know these guys -- hoping someone could shed some light on them or their engines. The specs look good, though.

I'd negotiate with the store owner on a big-ticket item like that. A few bucks for an oil filter is one thing, but for a performance engine...my dad always taught me, "EVERYTHING is negotiable."

Autozone carries REcon engines I think carcraft did a build with one of them not too long ago and dyno thrashed it.
