I swapped out my factory dog dish caps on my '53 Customline for some Crestline full caps. They look really good but the front ones work loose after a couple miles on the road. I tried bending the tabs out to keep them tight. But that did not make a difference. The rears stay put fine. Any tips to keep these things on?

Are you running radial tires on original rims? If so the radials are causing the rims to flex enough to dislodge full disc caps. Other than replacing the rims with rims designed for radials there's not much you can do except maybe install strips of non-skid tape on the rims and keep an eye on them.

Had the same issue with my repop Lancers. Make sure the radials are inflated to the correct pressure, bend the tabs out a little more, and clean the wheel lip where the cap tabs are hitting. Mine are snug enough now that I am actually having some difficulty getting them removed.

What tire pressure are you running?

I have Diamondback wide whites on mine and the recommended pressure is 40 psi which seemed high to me for a radial but it has worked
