Yes they did..Not sure if just Crosley labeled blocks or all the way up to early 60's with Crofton label...Having a brain fart, can't remember the names of the forklifts..

  2. Are these motors worth anything...........? I can get my hands on one.

They went thru several changes over the years. depending on what they are
they are worth from $25.00 to $250 or so. I usually takes a few to make one good one.

Looks like a six bolt flywheel crank flange and that's the best crank ever, forged and machined quite a bit on the throws..

Crosley Flat Eight I.png Crosley Flat Eight II.png

I thought some of you might enjoy seeing this unique composition of Crosley parts. A horizontally opposed (flat eight) Crosley. The fellow who ***embled this little jewel is from the Jerseyville/Alton, Illinois area and brought it to a local hot rod gathering last year. It runs very smoothly.

He also has a Crosley wagon powered by an OT 4 cylinder of Asian origin. Pretty clever guy, I think.

That's crazy. From the first pic I thought I was looking at a panhard engine. Cool stuff v

Even looks more like a jowett engine

  10. Very cool! Always wondered about making a V8 Crosley engine out of a pair of top ends:D

  11. And that's my new learning curve for today.
Interesting engine I'd never takin any notice of, in fact I went past this thread a few times before opening it.
    Sure glad I did. :)

The fellow that built that flat 8 is probably Pat [?]..***eol who made the crosley engines after Aerojet made an outboard flat eight for a bit, maybe 70 hp from 88 cube, around 57/58'...They cast blocks in mirror image so the ports/manifolds could be on same side of engine by using the mirror block on one side and a standard block on the other..I'll see if I can find a pic or two.....Lucky day, ***eol flat 8 in first pic on dyno, in use it was mounted upright with outboard lower end, next is a v8 someone built and third is the sports car they raced it in..

Normal flat top, either way the pin is central.
