Great story my man! The old saying about "pics dont do it justice" is so true. Your sled looks beautiful in pictures but it's SO frickin clean in person. See ya in April.
Great story and trip. This is hot rodding, out there and part of life and not just not strapped down in a trailer. I'm sorry to say I wasn't aware of your trip, or I'd have taken more pix at the GNRS or made more of an effort to met you at the recent Orlando Gala. Bad on me. But my hat's off. Gary
Thanks for the story and pictures. I'm glad everything worked out and you didn't have any problems. When you told me what you were going to do at Thanksgiving at the Turkey Run I knew you would make it!
man i envy you! you have a great ride and off you go on a great trip. i have been thinking about heading out west in one of my rides. thou they look nothing like yours they are old. lolplanning on painting our 62 galaxie and going to cali this fall. plan on bringing a few changes of clothes and a trunk full of parts glad you had a good run, hope mine goes just half as good.
Kansas crickets! SOBs! I was on a bike and when I stopped it looked like I was wearing a fur coat! Ewwww!
thanks everyone, im glad you all have enjoyed reading my story as much as i have enjoyed writing it. thanks! thanks for the advise while i was coming through. im sure we'll meet sometime. thank you! kinda loosely planning to drive up for the KKOA? history repeats. i like the Hirohata cross country article, there is just something about it and the pics. i just had to try it for myself. YES! please do so! again probably KKOA, but thats only 1700 each way. it was a pleasure to meet you man! so people, you just, know. see ya in April brotha! thank you Gary, hopefully we will meet in April at BPF. so convincing was i that you knew i would make it, i still had my doubts but thank you for the positive vibes they worked! thanks Marc! just get in your car and go for it. all i took was an inner tube! if not for Leo's wife that lent me her carry tool box i would have gone empty handed.
Glad to see you made it back home again...was afraid you had "rained" away all of your money It was nice hanging out with you, hope to see you over here soon!!
Great story Yaril!!! next we can do it in the V-Dub for the Cl***ic! lol You can take more pictures cause we will only be moving at 55MPH!!!!!
i cant wait to go to Norway and "make it rain" over there! let me see how the year goes, like i told you i will go this or next year. hahaha i wont even drive my VW to Tampa anymore! not until i build up the drivetrain to cruise 70. see ya in April bud!
Awsome awsome awsome!!!! Finally you make me proud to be in florida! You are very talented dude. HEY WHENS THE PARTY!
I envy you Yaril. I have been wanting to do this for some time. I have the Burb torn apart for a mild custom job. When it is done I plan on doing some long road trips with it. I would love to cruise to a KKOA event.
Great story. It takes balls to leave on a trip like that without really any road time to make sure everything is O.K. Glad that you had a great trip and I can't wait to meet you at one of the shows in South Florida. Bill
Cool story and it looks like you made a lot of good friends on the trip. Thanks for sharing and great build!
