i drove it around my neighborhood, it will definitly set you back in the seat, its very torquey and its got a 2;41 rear gear.jeff told me that when the trip was over, he was gong to up the performance.thats my 2 cents worth . i'm sure jeff can tell you more.

Yes, It’s not a Top Fuel Car by any means. My 4bt has 105hp and 330Tq all stock just as it came out of the Delivery truck . TH400 ****** with a 10 bolt rear with 2:41 gears and 33” tall rear tires. What I was going for was the best fuel mileage and dependability, and I got it. Will it smoke the tires? Nope! But it runs down the highway at 80 to 85 all day long, and never skips a beat. Now, can it be hopped up oh yea, easily make 500hp 1000Tq but there goes fuel mileage and dependability. But the best part of my Hot Rod is I Showed my 10 year old son the USA in a 31’ Model A with his Dad. <?xml:namespace prefix = o ns = "urn:schemas-microsoft-com:eek:ffice:eek:ffice" />

Thats the best stuff ever. I have done several long haul trips now with my 4bt aswell with my 10 year old son too.... I am jealous of your salty run and happy to hear you made it back in good condition. your truck is awsome. what exhaust manifold did you use??? is it a flipped stocker? I am contemplating a compound set up next for my truck. I figure it might set me back a few mpg's but Ill still be well above 30. I have a picture of my truck in my picture alblum I am going to get it painted soon. I dont think itll ever be able to p*** for a traditional rod but I sure love it and the boy LOVES the whistle of the turbo.

I just came across this thread. Wonderful story. The above post says it all. The "father-son" thing is more important than all the performance in the world. Besides, 105 HP in the coolest looking truck, probably weighing ??? 1900-2200 lbs., sounds like loads of fun to me. My hat's off to you! I'm also betting your son will remember his trip with fond memories the rest of his life.
