1952-59 Ford Cross menber replacement in a 55 Ford

I searched this form and didn't see anything on this one yet . I can bet almost all that have the 55 & 56 have replaced their cross member at some time , if not you better check yours out ! They all rusted very badly so here is my question .
Where did you buy the replacement or did you fab one up yourself ?
How bad was it to replace and weld in ?

I am going to be pulling my engine & trans out next month or June and will need to replace mine , I am ***uming I will be . Anyway with everything out of the way I want to try to get those things done . Any help will be very grateful !
