Cross steering rack and pinion exists, thanks to Speedway.

Maybe ShakyPuddin will post his pics of his Unisteer setup. I think all the parts are visible in one picture. Some might have landed on the ground, though......

You can use a Dodge Dakota rack, I just rebuilt the front end on my '97 and it got me thinking.The inner tie rods unbolt so just lose the left inner tie rod and cap the other side, I'm gonna try it and if it don't kill me I'll post pics
