Eddie's Drive-In used to have WHIP-ASS food...an "Eddie Burger" and Curly Fries was a treat to behold! Place kinda went downhill after Eddie died... ...but I still go...if only to step on the fish flies! *sigh*
Well, I was trying to vote for the 'There for the car's, eat at home option' But aparrently I have already voted from this IP address... I haven't...so if you count one extra for me, things will be good
oh yeah that old timey music makes me wanna go to the hop and drive around in my tri-5 with a gay ass name on it like Peggy Sue, Randy would you weld some 57 fins on my Chevy? I'm going to get a pink satin jacket and have " I'm Randys Old Timey Beaaatch" stiched on it....."Your car is suuuper!!!" You must experiance Randys take on things first hand to truly appreciate the joy of "old timeyeness"
Like the good doctor says, "Not enough options." I go if friends will be there and if Saturday night is gonna be quiet with nothing else going on. Or I just wanna drive the roadster on a warm summer night....
I used to go to a lot of them around here. There's one every night but sunday. Rarely ate at any of them, only the one on wed night, good food .. I basically went to hang with my friends. Most of the cars are the same so there's not too much new to see. I stoped going to them a few years ago, i realised i like driving the cars with my friends more than standing in a parking lot. Rat..

Tony, you are absoutely right. Most of the cruise nights around here feature cars I've seen a tousand times and most of the "cruisers" are into getting there first so that they get the prime parking spots. Then they sit around and take pot-shots at the others that gather there. How lame. Last year, i think I went to a total of five cruise nights. The Log Cabin is good for me because it is to hell and gone from my house, so I get to "drive." What a concept. Plus, because it is a fair disance, I get to see cars that normally don't show up over here. And, the chow is pretty good. Other than that, I stay home!
Not that I personally would ever do such a thing, but I know some people go to the cruises on the off chance that someone there might actually DRIVE their car, and there may be some street racing action to be found!
[ QUOTE ] WHAT??!!! [/ QUOTE ] Yes Mike, it's the truth.. Don't you have anything better to do than question what i post..... Like maybe working on your car. John, i've only gone to the cabin a couple times, and that was like 3 years ago if not longer.. I did hear that there's a little different croud/cars out there. Chances are i probably wont go anyways.. I do like doing the Brockport cruise though. I like the way main street is blocked off, and there's cool tune's and a few different cars..
and the purpose of this poll is......... 1. You own a resturant? 2. Your always hungry? 3. You just like to sit in parking lots.
I go to local cruises for much of the reasons I did when we cruised to local drive in's in our youth. And that is the social aspect of hanging out with the guys looking for girls. Only, I take my girl with me. now. Food, aint a biggie. if it the cruise is near a restaruant(some are) then we meet with friends and eat, a social thing. Some of the cruises(most) around here are becoming an imprompto car show, with trophies. I wish that did not happen. Al in all, I like cruising to and from. Sometimes a group of us get together after the :curise: and cruise mainstreet of Joplin.
I go to see the stuffed animals, crybaby dolls and the model cars on the air cleaner and/or package shelf.
