Anyone going to Cruisin' Ocean City on May 18th-21st.? One of my favorite things to do. I have been Cruisin the coastal highway for about 20 years now. All kinds of cars including a fair amount of traditional rods and customs. This year I will be driving my '50 Dodge, the seventh different car I have taken there.
Been there for several events with the 48 Plymouth, but decided not to go this time. My daughter and son-in-law will be there with their 66 Suburban.
I will be heading down to O.C. Thursday morning. Got a nice efficiency with a full kitchen and a balcony with a great street view! Nice to kick back with a couple of cold s when we are finished cruisin' for the day.
Went there once ! Will never go back! Nobody knows where and what's going on? Idiots doing burnouts everywhere? Cops allover the place, I hour in traffic to get back to hotel! Was not a fun weekend for us!
Never made it down there, the Showdown is this weekend if any of the PA guys can't make the long trip. OC, MD is huge, be safe, HAMBers!
The program they hand out at registration tells you where and when any of the events are going on. They have everything from "flamethrower" contests, a neon light show on the boardwalk after dark, pinup contests, and numerous car shows all over town. Thursday, Friday, and Saturday they have a morning boardwalk parade of cars. As for the "burnouts", I love watching those! The louder and smokier the better! It's their car and their "ticket" if they get caught. As for the traffic, Thursday and Friday are fine. Saturday is jammed- we just cruise to the "inlet" show and park for most of the day. I am sorry that you did not have a good time, but it's not everyone's cup of tea...
This number 1 on my bucket list! I would love to go we go down to OC every couple of years. I will be there with my family for a week in June one of these years I am driving 56 down to the cruise. Have a Great Time ! I am so jealous! Hobo Jim
