Cruising returns to Van Nuys Blvd

I watched the filming of Aloha Bobby and Rose, almost bought the Camaro from the movie, but never saw the movie. Who's got a copy?

Yeah i wanted to buy that car too. I test drove it over in the Eagle Rock area and when i took my Dad over there to look at it the salesman opens the hood( it was a tilt front end) and my dad is looking at the 454 in the engine bay and says to me "theres no way your getting this car" I saw it recently in Hot Rod mag in the first few pages car was painted red other than that it still looked the same.

 

It had a Traco SBC (painted an ugly gray) in it when I saw it. (I believe that's how it was during filming). And, there was no way the guy at that car lot was gonna let ME drive it

 

When I watched Aloha Bobby and Rose in the 1970's, for the very first time, it seemed that it was all about the car with a small amount of other stuff thrown in. In the mid-1980's I rented a copy, and I was gravely dis-appointed. It seemed that it dragged on and on with about 5 minutes of car stuff! Admittedly, there are some very good scenes in it. I haven't seen it since. It might be interesting to see it again.

 

one of the things Paul is really proud of on his web page is when we brought up his birthday he has a link to the hamb there.............I will get over for VN,damn that was fun back in the 70s

 

I wonder if there's still a few cars cruising the "odd" Wednesdays, not knowing WHICH is the correct Wednesday

I checked it out...hotmoviesale.com has it for $10.44...My wife has been telling me for 20 years this is her favorite movie...Think I better order one!

I saw the guy from livecarshows.com today. He remembered me giving him shit for blocking the driveway @ Rydell. He asked me when's the next one. I said this coming Weds. He and his camera guy argued it's the SECOND Weds. of the month. I said yes, THIS Weds. They looked at me like I was from Mars

What you need a wig for? - The skates will come in handy for trash pick up though!
