my son jeff cell phoned me to tell you he was afraid to try and talk to you while in such heavy traffic
he arrived at 6:45pm and lot was full already
last time he was in the modelAon vannuys he was still in diapers tho he drove it to Kevins burgers ...with both of us in the car he pulled the wheels passing by kevins and i still remmber the look on his face as my foot was on top of his holding it to the floor.....reid hope to see you at charity car show this sat gasserjohn

 

A few people recognized my car. When I first went down the block someone yelled BAKERSFIELD haha. Where was your son parked, gasserjohn? We parked and walked around then cruised for a while. Had a blast! Can't wait for next month.

No, what I said was "that looks like a Bakersfield car". You had just made the left from Burbank to Van Nuys. I was in the dark blue Pontiac with the lite blue wheels. That was a pretty good haul for ya, hope you had a good time.

 

Glad ya made it! Did you see my buddy's blue 57 Pontiac? I hope the guy from Salinas made it too. A good friend of mine, that I used to street race with, brought his 69(?) Nova from Palmdale (about 2500 ft elevation). He just invited me to watch him make a near sea-level pass near my house at a place we did a LOT of street racing. That fucking thing ran prtetty godamn hard. This was after the Blvd, and a taste before midnite. I have some "group/crowd" shots to post in the morning
