Congrats I love the latest, My pops had a 57 Chevy on the cover of Popular Hot Rodding magazine, that was shot in the front driveway in 84 so it can be done. Congrats on the upgrades and I look forward to seeing more of your work in person,

I saw the Galaxie in primer and finished in silver. It has about 6 yards of sheetmetal on its flanks and they are totally straight. Nice job

Paint has really gone thru the roof. It's got to be 2-5 times as much now for polyurethane or acrylic Enamel as it was ten years ago so $4G's is very good for a quality paint job.

    Thanks Guys...I appreciate it.
it's nice to make it official. we have been doing paint on the side (for fun and profit!) for a while now, and well, the dam finally broke.

I looked up and had more paint work in the shop than repair!
at that point, it occured to me that I reeealy needed to do something about that.

as far as the price...yep, we're cheap. but we are also fully aware that these aren't a.m.b.r. quality paint jobs either. just good 'ol fashioned high quality driver paint jobs. sort of thing you wanna let your girl rub her nekkid butt on.

but I digress. I mentioned "average"- we have turned out several paint jobs for well under the 4k mark...and 1 or 2 have gone over that, but required pretty extensive work,as well. I have always done sheet metal, and learned a harsh lesson this year on letting anyone else do sheetmetal work when I should be doing it.

aside from that, I am probably the most excited about the Tudor project. I picked up a really, really complete body, Texashardcore sold me a frame, and I already have most everything else to build it.

    I am like totally psyched,dude.:D

it's looking like it's gonna be a good year!

    Congrates on the expansion Lux.

I will have to hit you up when I finish the tudor and need to put some paint on it. Or maybe even the 69 p.u. when I get started on that again.

So your big ass can actually fit in a tudor?

    yeah...kind of.
the seats will be about 3 inches south of the door.
and bolted straight to the floor.
and I have about enough room for a suitcase and a gas tank behind me.

or mabey all those nekkid pitchers of yer mom...nah probably not that much room.:D

You still have all those pics of my mom? WOW!!

Hey if you dont have a frame yet you might wanna talk to Christian. He just scored a 33 ford rolling chassis that you might be able to talk him out of. So I guess no chop or channel huh.

You will have to show me the car when we come up for the Round Up.

This time Im gonna watch what I eat, so I dont have to spend saturday night on your toilet and miss everything. That blew, literally.

She'll still be slow, just not as slow. And though I'm sure his hands are as rough as sandpaper, I still think if would speed things up.

It has what I would call a moderate chop-4 or 5 inches (possibly 6.)

probably no more channel than 2 inches. call me weird, but I like model A frames. thier simplicity ,to me, is just as attractive as a 32's complexities. it will be overbuilt due to the Big Olds motor, but will retain (mostly) stock looks. the only thing I am torn on is brakes...I have a feeling that discs are gonna be a nececcity. I would love one of those "hidden disc" kits, but between making the Cutlass back into a fast car and building the Tudor (and fixing the Wagon and getting it to "cool" stage) I am questioning the depth of my pockets.

you gotta see the tudor- it's going sedan delivery style- similar to the old oxide colod Pete and Jakes car with the delivery door in the rear and filled rear windows. silly stuff like caliope stacks and probably torque thrusts or slots.

    you know...late 60-s silliness.:D

    Dunno...have to check it out.

Tomorrow night is some Psychobilly thing at Emo's...if you can't make one, make it to the other.

Truce on the nut slapping. I think I just recovered from the last bout. (didn't you get it particularly bad last year...)

As I recall it was Christian that landed a particularly devestating blow to the testicle region. I was the one laughing so hard I ended up on the ground next to you.:D
