Thats really a beauty ! Congratulations. Can you post a photo of the horn ring center. Olds had some great ones in those years.
I've never seen a carb set up like this one has. I'd leave it just the way she is engine wise. Your going to get a lot of talk out of guys on this one. She's a beautiful car. Congrats.
So nice. THose 3 weeks of wait are going to seem very long. Makes for a great Xmas gift for yourself. Congratulations
Great find. If you want to save on shipping I'll be glad to drive it out to you. Just let me know. I get my license back next week.
Cruzr, It looks perfect, that should take you back to your youth! I had a 49 fastback as a kid, probably the most fun car I have owned, got a 50 88 coupe now. Along with the dual carbs, you could add some 52 rocker arms and 3 spark plug washers behind the governor plug in the Hydro, that will wake it up! Congrats on finding a "cream puff".
Damn nice car. Half the fun in finding a car is the search .... the second half is coming! ... enjoy.
Niiiice! Looks super good. Back in my high school days in the 50s, one fellow had a green 50 fastback with flipper caps. Kept it spotless and his wingtip oxfords were always shined.
Thanks again for all the great comments. Marty ...i pm'd you for some further advice on the tranny thing
Congrats on the "new" ride. I've got a suspicion that you and your lady friend will be spending a lot of miles in this one. Don't be surprised if she adds a tissue dispenser and a cup holder Frank
I have known Randy for 5 years and he has been looking at 50 Olds almost every day . I am so happy for him.
Mostly partial to late 50's early 60's Rockets, but who can deny the coolness of these. Of course I would want one in my collection, if time and money were no object. Nice find.!!! Perfect candidate for a true 50's cruiser.
