Nice! Are you using a Cunningham intake? If so please post a close up photo.

That car originally had a Flathead in it.

Neet to see it alive again. Thanks for posting the pics and videos.

What are your plans now that it's running? Can we look forward to seeing you at any vintage races?
I saw Cunnigham in the ***le to your post. I saw the attached b/w photo, did some searching for more info. and did the attached white/blue drawing. In the process I learned a bit about Cunningham and his cars.

Briggs Swift was a true inovator, just look at the cars he built way before the A/C cobras were even penned on a bar napkin. A C 4 is my dream car. Nice ressurection of the Sorrell...

Ya the ch***is was a manning with a flat head. I believe the car was being revamped when it got moved to a corner of the shop and then to a container for 50 years. Do you have more info? I'm always looking for the past and pictures.

    Thanks

The car will be a maroon or china red with a black tuck n roll cafe style interior. A set of pre Wings S/W guages fill the 2 5/8" and 5" holes.
Also the car is set to go into the Peterson next spring for a 50's fibergl*** show. Then Dr Brinker will vintage race it.

    Thanks

By the way, Briggs Cunningham had nothing to do with this car.

Here are in process and as found pictures of the car. As far as I have info this was 1 of the 7 bodies Sorrell produced in the early 50's. I have 1 more body in the rafters and a KK ch***is avalable for adoption $.

My next project is to finish my 1964 USRRC 4th place car.

    Thanks for the interest

    Yep! That is awesome!

Do you have a thermostat lodged somewhere in that water crossover?? How's that work? What an awesome intake!

Yes they were all built from Chuck Manning plans or by him in 1950's . The 1 that is vintage racing is a FAST fuel burning monster.

The thermostat is at the out put side of the radiator I built a adapter that slips into the radiator neck and holds it. That way the water is under pressure in the radiator and less likly to boil so... should get better transfer.
