Crap, forgot about it! Wouldn't be bad thing at all since I missed the drags a couple weeks ago. I'll put that down as a definite maybe.

  2. Looking awesome man. Is that lever on the inside lower part of pass. door, a safety catch?

  3. Looking good Snale , er Dale !!! LOL ...Robmobile !

  4. Yes, vintage aircraft wheel tail lock from the 40's. Perfect for suicide doors. Good eye. Courtesy of my buddy Rory Forbes who has all the cool parts. (sinisterspeed)

    Now that's frickin awesome!

  7. That is way cool.

  8. Thanks fella's. Got the one side done on the patch and will work on the other after I bring the car back from getting chopped next week. Not sure what day we are going to start on it but let me tell you I am damn excited to get going on it. Picked up a couple of pieces from the chrome shop today and bolted them on for a look see. I am happy with the rear spreader bar, pushbar and license plate setup. It should look alright. I am not sure what to do about the rear floor pan lip where the stock gas tank apron bolts on yet. I may cut it off or fix it to blend it the wheel area. I had to trim off the lip on the rear corners because it was all boogered up.. Still debating on this. Here are a couple of pics.

Staydumb Tigers, that's what we north-end kids called it. Looks great Dale.

  10. I never went to Stadium. My grandmother graduated from there in 1934. It just seems appropriate to run it. My dad and uncles went there as well. It's a Tacoma thing. I do stay dumb most of the time though. Getting a little bit done each day. Swapmeet coming up this weekend. Looking for a few lttle tidbits.

  11. I am really exited to see it after the chop! Gonna be spectacular.

I'm liking the raised frame horns in the back Dale. They never look right without them, but especially '33 '34s always look horrible with that tank hanging out there too. (I'd argue the same of deuces, but fear torches and pitchforks!) Seems like the best of both worlds! Plate mount and push bar looks great too. I like how everything is integrated instead of just a collection of stuff hanging there. Not sure what to think of the tank cover lip. I'm sure that is one of those things that I would completely obsesse over if it was mine. It would look good gone, but maybe open up the gap back there too much?

  14. Outstanding Dale. keep the updates coming.

  15. Mike, Kirk Ward and his son Jake will be helping me with the chop. I trust him. We will make the arrangements at the swapmeet this weekend. I like the colors on your roadster that you have picked out. It's coming along nicely. Love to come over and have a peek.

Chip, Thanks. Not sure about that lip. Like you said it might look too open back there and I am not going to lift the frame horns up anymore to compensate around the side like it was.

Ron, I will. This is my motivation putting updates on here. However little they may be. You coming down for the swap Sat?

Kirk is a good choice. Make him stay on it and don't let him get sidetracked. He has the same problem with ADD I do!!!! I'm sure it will look good.

  19. The haircut is a coming! Yeah!

  20. That is a very clean setup on the car Larry. I went back and forth whether to curve the spreader bar believe me. In the end I decided I wanted to leave it straight. I am very happy with the way it looks. I would have had to shorten the frame horns again and suck it in a little more to get it to look right. Mike Hamel curved his spreader bar and I like it but I had to cut my own path. So many ways to skin a kitty!
Larry, what are you working on these days? Been a long time since I talked to you.

  21. Looking great Diggy-Diggy-Dale!

Dale looks great, why would someone cut up one of henrys finest. Damn hot rodders.

  29. Went to a little swapmeet here in Tucson today with a couple of friends. Found a few things. Picked up the Corvette generator I have been looking for. It is missing the tach drive unit for it. Anyone have a decent tach drive unit for sale that I can buy with out getting a new one? It's worth a try.
