Don't know how I missed this. The design and attention to detail, looking forward to seeing it come together.

  6. Nothing like your badass Vicky Terry O. You nailed that project bigtime man. Jimmy did a smashup job on the build. Please start a thread with nothing but pictures of that gorgeous car. I need the inspiration. I want to finish this one off as nice as yours if I can manage it.

  7. so Dale, anymore updates. I would like to see what you have gathered for this car( email me ) can't wait to drive it LOL ?

Dale I just found your thread and love your style.I see your running Firestone dirt track combo tires. I just looked at a set last weekend and there so cool!! I just wonder how they handle at cruising speed? I painted my coupe last fall orange pearl with a satin finish and love it .I can't wait to see your progress.

They are great on the road at any speed.

  12. Ya,. They are alright. You get what you pay for. I would really like a set of those Excelsirors from Coker if I could afford them. These tires are just for mockup and to get going. I will get the others in the future. No more CHATTING. I have been scolded by my friend Kiwi Kev to get back to work. And I take that man very seriously. I'm out for now.

Awesome build. I love the look of the 34 Ford coupes. Blasphemy it may be but I'd take one over a Duece. Especially like the traditional style builds, thats why I'm here after all Like to get into building sometime but right now the University is snatching up all my cash.

Kick ass! You have done a few things I was thinking about doing on my 3 window. That saves me some head skratchin'.

I ran those same seats in my old rusty truck, I wish I would have kept them when I sold it.

  15. Are you planning to keep the cowl vent? I wanna get my hood louvered also but need a working cowl vent that doesn't direct engine heat into my car....decisions, decisions.

  16. Yea Rocky I am. This is Arizona. You need some airflow for sure. I am actually going to put air in this car as well. It will be all hidden. I am going to have to get tricky to pull that off. Compressor off the driveline and such in the rear of the car.(I know, I know) It gets very hot here and I have to be able to drive in any condition in this car.

  17. Brake pedals put in to frame over the last week.

  18. 3 pedals....very cool.

what are your intentions when it comes to running the exhaust?

Looking great, great to see people building coupes at the moment.

    Cheers,

  19. Drewfus, I am contemplating running belled scavenger style pipes angled out the side like the 7-11 coupe. See picture attached. Exhibit A: I will have to put baffles hidden in each pipe. I have a loud car now and I want someting a little quieter this time. Am I gettin old?

  20. I think you already know that whilst you suggest it will be quieter than the rpu, you are also sufficiently experienced to know that it will be an unachievable goal, especially with belled organ pipes;):D

Have similar thoughts for my 3 window, with the pipes like the sheldon schmdt coupe, or maybe even the tognotti coupe

Keep at it, enjoy and appreciate the updates,

    Cheers,

    Drewfus

Eddie Dale, you are slaying that thing, looks awesome. Hope all is well down there and your being a good boy, brushing your teeth and all. Saw your pops at the swap, he was in good spirits and doing good. Your Hot-Rod is evolving nicely, can't wait to watch the progress to the end. Hope the weathers good, been nasty wet and cold up here. Keep up the great work.

  22. Thanks Keith, It's good to have friends all over this great country that believe in what your doing. Sorry about your crummy weather. Can't help ya there. I made my choice to get out. I love it here in the desert. It's about 88 here today I think. My pop is doing great. He definitely gave me the passion for this stuff and I love him for that.(He lurks here!) I appreciate the kind words on the build. Especially from someone like you that knows what's up. Say hello to your dad for me. Dale

Damn! Dale, you were telling me about the A/C system at the LARS, but I've somehow missed this thread until today... holy hell, you're doing an amazing job so far man! Loving the bracketry, chassis mods, and the overall plan (to me, no color says no-nonsense race car like orange.)

    Updates are wanted, indeed!
