I promise, I will. It's gonna be at least a couple of weeks, though. I've gotta put the forks on the backhoe and haul it out there to get it.

  2. Sold this A to my friend who's a HAMB;er and now I'm collecting parts for another A project (lesson learned...never sell your A project) :D

Here is my 30 Model A coupe. I started this car the week of Thanksgiving. Got it all mocked up and blown back apart. I have the frame painted and engine rebuilt. Now on to bodywork.

Don't have pics available, but I am trying to build a two-door (suicide) '29 woody. Gonna follow the undersweep of the cowl instead of adding a flat panel behind the cowl. I chopped 6 inches out of the top and angled the roof to give me some clearance. I built a 402 big block with two fours, .520 lift, and zoomie headers since I'm running this fenderless. The frame sides are drilled and reinforced with round tubing to give back some strength for the big block (as if this is gonna help). I'm using a 9 inch out of a '63 T-bird with four bars and a panhard with Qa1 chrome coilovers. Using 15 X 8 inch www cheaters from Hurst to push this thing forward.

I want to do the frame in flake and the body in flat black with maple and birch sides. It'll have a '32 grill shell and radiator. I didn't channel the body since I have a hard time fitting my fat "A" in an A. I cut down a '93 Dodge Caravan rear seat 12 inches and it makes a perfect bench for my old bones. I'll post pics when it's under primer and I find some wood. Maple is kind of hard to find in larger sizes around here. Glad to see so many A's being built.

I am a long time A restorer and have made the rashest of rash decision in my advanced age. I am going to builsd a traditional AV8 with my 31 Roadster. So far I am in the parts accumulation stage but it is going well and I should start putting the frame together this winter or early spring. I have a 32 Kmember with pedals still attached that I am going to whittle into the A frame with a 40 rear, 39 top loader with 46 gears and a 46/48 Flathead. I am using a dropped A axle with F100 brakes in the front and the regular 40 brakes in the rear. As it develops I will try to post pics. The motor I pulled out of a 40 coupe that had 51 license plates still on it and was supposedly the last time it was run. I am hoping that people back then maybe traveled less than the avg 10K a year that people now do and maybe it's a low mileage motor. Oh yeah, the car will be open wheel. I have 40 ford steelies I am going to put on it. I think I have been bit by something!!!!

I have a 29 Tudor Sedan, plan to have it done in a couple of years. Got it from my wife for my 40th B-day, not decided on color yet, but won't be all polished or too ratty. Daily driver, thats for sure! Plan on keeping the engine Ford, would like a late model all-aluminum 2.3 from a Ranger, blown or turbo'd, and pretty well stepped-on. I just want something different that scoots well !

What sizes are the sleeves you used for the drilled frame? How many of each size?
