Hi, I have two "A" Projects in the works.

Thw first is a '31 Coupe on an Acehole frame. The running gear is all discards from one of my '41 Fords. The front axle is a dropped axle by 5wbomber, the rear is a '41 rear with 3.54 gears and converted to open drive. The motor/trans is a '57 Ford Marine motor out of a Cabin Cruiser. The trans is a '47 Ford truck. The body is channelled the width of the frame. Brakes are Lincoln repro brakes from Vaphead.

The second is a '29 replica RPU body by my friend Bob C in Colorado. It is mounted on one of Vapheads double zee'd frame. The axles are '39 Ford truck w/wide five hubs and wheels. The motor/trans is Mustang 2.3 with 5 speed trans.

'29 A "In progress" here... I have been distracted by my '67 Sedan Deville, so it's been sitting for over a year.

I've been collecting parts for 15 years to build an A Roadster something. RPU, Roadster, Phaeton. Well I finally had enough good stuff together to build a roadster and the car I really wanted showed up yesterday on here. So I packed up the truck and headed North and came home with this. Now to get Busy I've ben thinking about this long enough.

when this posted started I had a 29 Model A sedan that I was building and thought I would be keeping but a move cross country forced me to sell it. well 2 yrs later and some swapping I am back to having a Model A. this one a 31 PU.. from the color of the frame and tire and wheels I think someone was thinking of building a grasshopper clone..

I put the project into storage with the plans of putting the chassis together... I've been waiting on some "minor" parts to come in from Colorado and during the wait I bought a 20 T roadster since I got that I've compiled almost everything to build a thirties inspired lakes/Indy car.

  21. Just got this 31 from Jailhousebob over in NY state. It's going into mothballs for the winter while I gather up parts. Just picked up a nice Merc flatty from another Hamb'r. Will run a T5 and maybe a quickchange. Keep you posted as it goes.

Sorry these pics has been posted heaps. Just starting this one in the next week. Decision on driveline is biggest hurdle at the moment........ Will be built in similar look to Chopperman's coupe.

And here is a pic when it was last built, in 1958. Thanks to Hyfire from here who had it before me.

Great Thread gives me good ideas and inspiration.

Here is mine starting with this 29 chassis. Was a RHD Phaeton, swapping to LHD and will probably go with a Tudor Body or if I get lucky with timing and money a Phaeton body.

Plan is to rebuild the chassis over the winter.

I am in the process of collecting body parts to build a 31 track style roadster based on a pickup cab. Don't have many parts yet. A cowl drivers door and a radiator shell. Also have a 21 stud flattie and drive train out of a 40 ford I bought a few years back (yet another project). Always on the lookout for low cost parts.
