thought I would share some pics of the current project in the shop. It is a 1941 ford that belongs to a fellow hamb member. We are dong the suspension work and fixing some of the floor board and building a new tunnel.

First up is the link / air bag mounts.

upper bag mounts and a quick mock up of what it will look like when down.
I still have to build the rear shock mounts and add two gussets to the upper bag mounts then the rear will be done. then it is one to the front mounts and shock barckets. After that is done I will begin on the new tunnel and floor.

What rear-end are you using, and what width is (face of drum/drum) getting ready to redo my '41 Ford, some one did a butcher job on it.
    Thanks:cool:

The rear axle was in the car when I started with this project. I believe it is an 8" ford. Not sure what it came out of or of the width. I am getting ready to go to the shop right now to meet with the customer. So I will ask him what it came out of. Also should have the front end done today So I will post some more pics up tonight.

I can't for the life of me remember what we got the rear end out of, but it is a Ford 8 inch.

Thanks, I've talked to a couple of street rod guys who have used an 8" out of a Ford Granada 58" wide.
Ps looking for side stainless for biz coupe "short door".

A little up date. Got all the fab work finished up this week and will start on the wiring tomorrow.

Here are the front upper and lower shock mounts.
