    My dad had 1918 Velie touring car when I was a kid in the early 60s. It was sold to a restorer at some point, maybe in the Houston area.

    That's a project that Jay Leno or his crew could advise you on. He's been around some wild old creations.

    Velie also made aircraft engines. Early Monocoupes used them, My Dad learned to fly in one. On a Waco 9 you had to watch out for water leaks out of the radiator witch was mounted above the fuselage and would drip water on the magneto. Instant forced landing. Waterpump packing around the shaft would leak also like any early engine. Be sure to safety wire the plug wires also. :)

    Guys, Edward closed his shop a few years ago and isn’t a HAMB regular anymore.

    Thanks for the heads up @alchemy.
    What a bummer that he closed his shop, and isn't on the HAMB any longer. I will delete my post as it appears that none of it was seen by Ed.

    Essentially yes. On the Velie that I posted there was a custom adapter made to attach a modified flywheel.
