What a cool website! I have been drag racing since 1973 where I started out racing a 1966 D/MP Chevelle in Michigan. I see that there are a lot of guys on this site that used to run back then. I am, currently, retired in Colorado, and drag racing a 1967 Camaro Pro ET car. Albuquerque Dragway in New Mexico is my home track. Curt

Hey Redhead, I used to live in Durango. I'm over in windy and cold Alamosa, now. Still have a lot of drag racing buddies in Durango. Doug Sutherlin, Fred Rector, and Denver Dennison are several who still have their cars. Curt

  4. You must have had a good reason to move to the coldest spot in the country.
I just bid on the new airport in Alamosa this morning.
I know all those guys. My shop is across the hiway from Doug.

Hey Redhead, Do I know you? I used to work at the Silverton Victorian Millworks, then worked for Bill Smart when he had his machine shop west of Durango, and then I worked for Checker Auto up on North Main across from the High School (when Gary Mason still was a teacher). We moved to Alamosa in 1999 and I was the Manager at Checker Auto. I was a member of the Durango Old Car Club when I lived in Durango. Somewhere we must have crossed paths. Curt

  7. Probably came across each other somewhere. I owned Durango Truck And Offroad at 32nd and Main and was in the old car club.
