It's time to do something with my delapidated, boring, old, STOCK mailbox. Sure it has "patina", but not the right kind. I'd love to see pictures of some cool ones. Thanks.

Well, don't know how cool it was, but I built a custom one before I moved in to town. It had a 3/8 steel liner and the pole was one tube inside another both planted 3 feet down and filled with concrete with rebar in the footing. I was losing a couple of mailboxes a month, that all stopped when I after the custom box - walked out one morning and found the baseball bat and the broken glass where it bounced off the mailbox and broke the sideglass
A gift from HAMB member Brickster who is an instructor at Wyo-Tech. It's a functional mailbox but I use it as a breadbox in my kitchen. I do have to keep an eye on it though when my hot rod buds come over. I've caught a few trying to stash it under their coats when leaving.
