And here are a few update photos of Pat's 1954 Mercury and for those who forget how the car looks... Don Dillard Photo
Blast from the past! I shot and wrote up the olive green Merc for our then Car Kulture Deluxe in Paso years ago. Very, very nice guy, and very deserving of some recognition.... Cool!
Good Morning Rik, I am so happy to see the photos on the site. I think the car is great and as always I want to thank you for your time and trouble to post for us. It is a shame that the car will be painted, it is stunning!!! I would drive it just the way it looks, but I know Paul will paint it. No color selected as of yet. Paul thinks he has all the material for his book and hopes to start on it soon. Patticake(Mrs Tinguy)
"WOW!" is right Rik. Stunning car and although it is almost a shame to cover up that calibre of work I cannot wait to see it finished
A Book !!! That would be great !! Please do it Paul!! The Merc looks fantastic,I feel so inferior when I see pics of Pauls beautiful metalwork...
Really impressed about the workmanship, seeing this pictures makes me want to start working more on my own project ....
Gorgeous !!!! drop dead gorgeous... and flawless ! Paul is the man ! Can't wait to see them finished and put my hand on the book !
i wish i new half of what paul bragg forgot!!!! and i an awe struck by his work! but every time i see this car i want to spray 409 at the computer screen, and clean his whitewalls!!!!!!
i cant stop looking at these pictures, and dream of the day when my 41 is in all bare metall! you might need to come over a couple of days Paul!! lol palle
Paul Send some more update photos. This time of Pat's 1954 Mercury... Now all the metal work is done, and the car is ready for primer and paint. Home made grille bars New taillight construction A very proud owner... Pat Bragg Man this is so gorgeous!
GODAMN!! i now have a new favorite sled.!! and another car for the must have, and build list.. sooo perfect..
Rik, thank you for this thread, and a sincere Thanks to Paul and fam for these wonderful works of metal!!!! Just bench racing here, but I could imagine a Winfield fade on Miss Bragg's car!!!!!
As much as I love a Winfield fade, the great thing about a Paul Bragg custom is the simple classy paint on them. Lets his body work speak for itself. Like all of his cars, truely timeless.
Rik - Very cool thread on Paul and his fantastic hot rods and customs. Went by Ralphs on a trip to Fresno with Paul and stopped by Ralphs and check out his custom very nice. I've known Paul for years and worked at B&B Body Shop at one time, I'm proud to call Paul and Pat my friends. Paul keep a low profile for many years not being fond of the spot light and some of the B.S. that goes with it. Paul a great guy and a real custom car hero. CRUISER
yes this kustom is getting better and better ! i think i've got a thing for hood lip, it looks so classy ! that grille bar... can we really say "grille bar"? that's a gorgeous grille bar/floating bar that complement the work on the bumper ! And where everybody would have let the beautiful tailites, Paul did his magic too, and it works so well with the rest ! Paul is the man !
It's really great to see the craftsmanship and style of this build. This is my favorite thread on the HAMB.
