and that is the last of the shots I took at the event. This is a must attend show for anyone interested in traditional customs. I would suggest pre registration for anyone thinking of going. there is a limit of about 225 cars and this show will sell out before next year
Huge thanks for taking the time to post the pictures! Wish I could have made it down. Maybe next year.
I agree!! I went to a few of the KKOA shows in Holland Michigan many years ago. I have always wished a show like those would come up again. Sorry I missed this one!
Thanks again for taking the time to post all the pics Mark! I see several that I missed at the show, guess they left before I got over to them. I also see several that were in the lot at the hotel, but didn't see at the actual show. It's almost two shows in one....the hotel show and the show, show. [emoji1]
A great time at the show. Got to meet a few fellas who actually attended the car shows the Joe Roth "Little One" was in, and helped Joe Roth Show it back in 62-65. Mark Moriarity really is the Wiki-Pedia of Custom cars. Thanks for the pictures Mark. Had a blast hanging out. Met some fellow HAMB'rs. It really is a 3 day show - 2 at the Hotel and Saturday at Edward's Drive In. Works of art and met Custom Car legends that you read about in all the Magazines when you were a kid. Incredible time, cars and met a lot of new people. The cars were Bitchin '
I've been to CCR twice Corn, there's an empty lot next door, it could hold another 150 cars... I know what it can hold...but you're correct, Edward's is near capacity... R-
I looked most of the winter for 59 Edsel dash knobs. Once I saw your 59 Chevy, I found 98% of the knobs in existence in your grill...lol.
A couple of asides from an Indianapolis ex-pat who has been gone for several years. I'm sure that Edwards is a good venue for the show and are to be commended for the use of their facilities, not to mention that they have classed up the property since I was last there, but the rest of the neighborhood doesn't appear to have changed much in the last forty years. Based on the comments of the participants, it sounds like the food there has gotten better since I was in town. My wife loved the place, but I thought there were better places myself - personal opinion. My sense of visual geography has dimmed somewhat over the years, so I'm wondering about the host motel. It looks like it is in the general area of Emerson and I-465. Correct? I wasn't much into the hot rod / drag racing / cruising scene, so I am amazed that Indy has been able to snag an event of this orientation that has been able to achieve such prominence. And thank you for the coverage of the show. Lots of good looking cars. I'm sure a fair amount of time and effort went into posting all this.
Thanks for posting the photos. Great shots and nice to see so many customs. Where I live, its muscle, muscle, muscle, hot rods, hot rods, stockers and then customs, so not too many around. (I've gone from hot rod slightly custom '56 truck to a mild custom '52 hardtop.)
thanks man, pretty easy actually the pics are just taken with my phone and then uploaded on the app..... pretty easy if I can do it!! Lol
Wow,thanks for taking the time to show us here on the other side of the world these beautifully cars.
