just got home about an hour ago, my brother and i took his corvette 1400 miles round trip, def worth the trip, good cars and good people.
I saw many photos of it on Facebook and now here. Sure looks like a really great show. Some really great cars showed up. And I also saw a lot of really great people. Sure looks like a show that will start writing history from now on. Keep the photos coming.
Had a great time, when was the last time you could go to a show and the whole parking lot was full of customs and white walls. (At least for us here in the Midwest) I'll be back next year and will bring some friends. Posted using the Full Custom H.A.M.B. App!
Man....that looks like a great show...quality over quantity....I sure miss kustoms only shows like the old KKOA show we had here in Michigan many years ago
It was great, Mr Edwards gave the use of the great location and was a lot of great help. But the show organized and put together by Bob Davis and Kevin Anderson. Thanks to Kevin and Bob for doing this. And thanks to Mr Edwards his family and staff, Bob's wife and son, Kevin's wife, sons, and daughter(and friend) for all their help. Made it a great Friday and Saturday. If you you missed the hotel and cruise Friday it was great as well. Some of the guys were saying Friday was so great it would have been enough but, the show Saturday was just the icing on the cake. Most of all a big thank you to everyone that brought their beautiful cars.
Make it a three day show and I'll drive halfway across the country for it...OK, maybe I'd drive 3/4's of the way across the country...I quit KKOA because of all the street rods, rat rods, late models and general junk Jerry let in... R-
Did anyone get any pics of the Wayne Mahaffey style 35 ford phaeton? I spent so much time talking to the owner of the Zaro 41 merc and the carson topped 36 that I never got a pic of the 35. When I went back to get a pic it had already left. I had a Blast at this show and really hope it becomes an annual event. Unfortunately my 46 ford was still in the process of getting the top chopped and my friend Rob's 40 ford developed a severe oil leak so we were only spectators this time.
The pictures look like a great show and I would have loved to have been there with the Larry Ernst clone, especially since a picture of it was used on the event flyer, but the car is in the Glimore Car Museum as part of the Traditional Hot Rod and Custom Car display. I will look forward to next years show and possible attendance. Congrats to the organizers for a "customs only" show
my brother and i drove out in his 58 corvette. 1400 miles round trip from jersey. was a great show, hope they do it again next year!
I can't believe the cars that showed up -a dream come true for me. The Zoro and Hirahata clone were awesome. The cars from Pitts were amazing and beautiful. I could go on and on. To be in this show with all these cars was unbelievable for me and i will never forget it. For those who missed this show I can only hope it happens again next year. Thanks again to all whose who put this show on, and those who drove so very far to share their beauitiful cars with us.
I'm sorry but you DROVE the '58 Corvette Kustom to the show? How kool is that! I would have loved to seen the peoples faces as you were driving it down the highway. I love your ride and maybe sometime in the future I will see it in person. Thanks too all that was involved with the show. We need a true Kustom gathering in the Midwest and If I didn't have a family wedding, I would have been there. Thanks for posting the pics and I will be there next year and all read working on a convoy. Happy Trails, Mick
amazing show!!! a kustom guys dream! thanks for putting on such a great show and I hope there will be another one next year.
FASI, how long will your Ernst clone be there? I'm going to the Red barn spectacular on August third and the Riot on the 17th but if it's gone before then I'll be going this week to see it... Love that car! The show looks awesome! I would love to make it next year. Any chance of it not being in a parking lot?
I cant say enough about how awesome this show turned out. Best show I have ever attended. Kudos to Kevin and Bob for their vision and sticking to their guns on the entry requirements. Keep the quality up. Its nice to see someone raising the bar!!!!
The Ernst car as well as the others are slated to be there for up to 2 years. I will be at the Riot, look for an old guy with olive green polo shirt, would be glad to chat. KeithEnjoy
