I love the Delft Blue paint on this. Must be my Dutch heritage. I have thought of doing something similar to my OT Porsche 911.....
These front ends were available as a kit from an independent marketer. I remember seeing an ad in one of the little magazines. I wonder if Barris used the kit?
When I was a kid there was a Vette in Hayward CA. by Southland mall, it had one of these front ends on it. It was always parked in the street. It was on Calaroga Ave. For all I know it's still sitting there.
Factory customs..! Mr. Wingate was recieving a "Demo" each year customized by the factory - often sporting the six taillights shown, as well as shaved park lamps and front bumpers. -Dave
'65 convert.. Radiused & flared rear wheel wells, custom scoop, chromed cowl vents and interesting angled front fender "gills"! -Dave
'65 coupe with nifty fender-mounted headlights, removed front bumpers & a swell bronze pearl paint job! -Dave
'64 coupe with similar changes to the red convert with the addition (subtraction?) of the removal of the front parking lamps and a great pink pearl paint. -Dave
A few minor changes on this '66 coupe - front bumpers and chromed cowl vents. The pink pearl is another standout 'tho! -Dave
I'm beginning to wonder if there was a "front bumper delete" option for the first StingRays! Blue pearl fuelie(?) with Astro slots. -Dave
I have no idea how Larry Watson accomplished the colour change on this '66 coupe! Again, no front bumpers & the ever-popular chromed cowl vents. Wires look good too! -Dave
Two toned '65 has lost the front bumpers AND the park lamps. Painting the knockoffs is a cool idea as well. Did I mention those chrome cowl vents? ;-D -Dave
