Custom grill Q

    If you've made a "custom" grill...like when using drawer knobs or something, what did you use as a backing?

    Most used metal grating.
    Look at home depot over by the all thread, links of chain,
    and bulk cable.
    They usualy have sheets of metal cross grate in flat boxes.

    I'll try to find some pics of the stuff for better referance.

    I'm too slow abelugo got it

    This is the stuff at you can get at the depot,
    Works great for grill inserts on hot rods too.

    That's the mesh I used to make an insert for my old van. I brazed some bolts to the back of my grille, then slid the mesh over the bolts. This made it possible to easily remove the insert if needed. The knobs were also hardware store items.
