    Lookin' for idea's here folks-
I've seen ENOUGH tube grills on 57's,
Not saying there is anything WRONG w/that,
It's just not the "look" I'm going for...

    Anybody have any HOME-MADE pics?
    Or grills from other cars?
Different front bumpers are cool too-
If ya got ANY pics, I would like to see 'em!
    Thanks

You could always use the entire front clip from a 58 Edsel, but then you'd have what looked like an Edsel, and the ugliest part of the Edsel at that... So, It's probably not the best idea...

    DrJ-
I get the "dollar signs" on the Desoto grill,
But are the others really that expensive?
And what the heck does a Canadian meteor grill look like anyway?

    tragic59-
I WAS actaully thinking about doing that,
    I know a guy who has a 58 edsel front-end,
And I already got another pair of WAGON TAILLIGHTS
    (yeee-haw!)
But the difference in time it takes to
    mount a grill
    And mount a front-end,
that's just alot of down-time for a car that will be my
    "driver"....

Does anybody know if a top 58 desoto grill/bumper
has the same dimensions as a 57 ford's splash pan?
Or how much "off" it might be?

    I have a 57 desoto grill already,
It's just not for this project [IMG]

Anyone know where I could even FIND a 58 desoto Grill?
(or top half of bumper, whichever you want to call it)

Terrible picture but it's a Plymouth grill as mentioned above with a 53 Chevy center bar and teeth. A little different.

    Tommy-
Are you still tryin' to sell that?
Got any more pics (of the grill)?

  9. I don't have any pics but you might try replacing the stock grill with hardware cloth, and then putting a whole bunch of bullets in there.
Splitting the front bumpers is also a pretty cool trick.
I'll try to round up a pic or two.

  15. Here's a couple of places to try for bullits:

    Night Prowlers
    www.thenightprowlers.com
    417-682-3685

    Or Dale Wilch had some:

    www.dalewilch.com/

I think those Dale had were a little pricey, but if you send him an e-mail he might cut you a package deal. Can't hurt to try.

Your other option is to get to a lath and turn some out. I'd offer but I don't have access to a lath right now, but I'm workin' on it.

as for a split bumper just grab the stocker and whack it, or look for the bumper and surround of a 57 or 58 MOPAR.

Does anybody know where I could score the
"top half" of a 58 Desoto Bumper?
