I have always thought that there were tons of great options out there for customs that get overlooked. A few examples. Hudsons Nash Baby Lincolns
I liked my Clipper, probably should have kept it and sold off one of my bigger long-term projects, seeing as that one at least was a driver already. Excited to start driving the Nash this summer after working it over last summer. I really do want a Kaiser, preferably a Dragon or '54 Manhattan, but I really don't have room for any more ****. Luckily the Nash is a little one, easier to fit it in the garage. It's always a little weird to customize one of these cars, even mildly, when most people never saw a stock one or would recognize what was changed.
There were pics of a customized 52-54 Nash Country Club hardtop (not sure if it was a Statesman or Amb***ador) but it was red and I think it was at Customs by the Sea (part of TROG) and that thing was so cool and different, but I can't seem to find pictures of it now. If I find them I'll post them, or if anyone else knows what I'm talking about and has those pics, please share.
The "coming or going" 1947-52 Studebakers were a popular choice back in the day, not so much now. Should be easy enough to customize one I imagine.
Can't recall where I found the picture, but the mid 50s packards lend themselves well to customization.
There's enough nice raw material out there that no one should have to resort to trying to customize an upside down bathtub.
