Don’t forget the early to mid 50s Olds!.. I love these cars, especially with the original Olds Rocket engine still intact.

How 'bout a Zephyr? Certainly not new in terms of whether or not they've had a custom treatment before, but rare to start with so an unusual sight at a car show in western WI of all places...
Or further afield from the usual suspects....a Borgward Isa coupe? Lower it, shave the mirrors and door handles, nose it, and maybe run wide whites on steelies with stock caps and trim rings?
The Borgward Isabella is definitely one I'd like to see done. It has a great European roofline and a very thin body height, you'd have to section any US car of the era to get those proportions. Would love to see one with some sort of covered headlights and thinner bumpers, maybe wire wheels. I think it could be a real stunner if it was executed just right.
Over here expect to pay up to €10000 for a half decent project coupe or €25000 to €50000 for a nice example. Convertible even more.
A lot of odd ducks have been already done.........need to dig DEEP to find one that hasn't. How about a '39 Graham "sharknose" Or a '37 Huppmobile
