I ordered a set of custom offset wheels from wheel vintiques before Christmas , was told they will be shipped end of March . Not very impressed with them at all

Why don't you get some 40 chevy wheels and drill out the rivets and turn the centers around. Line up the rivet holes and turn on a lathe or your front hub with a dial indicater to make sure the are straight and first plug weld the rivet holes and then run a bead weld on the back like they do for later steel wheels. wheels should be 16x5 5x4 1/2.

I bet if you check around there is a shop that can change the offset on a steel wheel. I don't live in a big city and there is even a shop here that will do it. (No, I simply do not trust myself to get it right).
