I am building a 1930 Model A Tudor with a 392 Hemi .060 over, 5 spd and 3:70 rear diff. mounted via model a style spring. I purchased a custom frame for it with an 8" z in the front and a 12" z in the rear. With the frame rails level front to rear and side to side, I found the rear horizontal section after the z is not level. It is tilted down and back a few degrees. What problems can I expect from this. I think I know but I want some experienced input.
    Thanks

With the center frame rails tilted down 2-3 degrees in the front, like a typical rake stance, does that bring the rear section level?

I had not considered that. Good suggestion. I will check that. Thanks

I'd be looking at another frame, a moderate sweep in front and 4" drop in the rear is about all you want, anything much more than that moves the engine and trans up into the car. With that much Z I'd bet the entire tranny will be inside the cabin.

I have to agree with oj an 8 inch difference if the difference is between the top of the front part and the top of the middle part is a big drop. You will end up with a trans and drive train tunnel that serves as an armrest and possibly a high one at that.

I'm not sure about the angle at the back but that may be to get the rear end of the rails back down for clearance a bit depending on the total length of the frame and where the axle is supposed to sit.
