Just finished a 55 Ragtop for my first Grandson. Shipped it to Vegas this morning. Wish he lived closer so we could go crusin' The little purple one I built for my girls when they were little. The picture with then on it, was at a car show where they won an award for their car. They were still pushing each other around in it. Now my Grandson drives it when he is in town.

Here's the one I built for my Lil girl, started it before she turned 1 (fall 2010) and finally finished it spring of 2012..... it has been to LSRU 11, 12, and will be at 13 in various stages of completion. She loves it and it is a huge hit at cruise ins, shows, the fair, zoo.

My Grandson was sick with the Flu after Christmas, but now that he is better he is loving cruising in his new wheels.

Hey Daddio, by the looks of your avatar, all of your rides are a little too small. He might let you take it for a spin some day, he lives just down the hill from you in Vegas :)

Ha ha, thanks man! We never grow up, we just get bigger, right? In Vegas right now, stopping for gas on our way to GNRS. I'll honk and wave to your family for ya! :)

Not a HotRod, but here's the stroller I built for my little fella.
Scored a trashed old Beetle pedal car for $40. Everything was toast, but I figured I could save the body.

I beat in back into shape, and gave it a coat of clear to preserve the patina.
I also made a chassis from scratch, complete with narrowed 2-link front end with airride, & crazy camber in the rear.

I also made up a new seat, dimpled aluminium floor and foot plates, and a chain steering wheel.
Kaid loves it, and always giggles when it goes up and down.

Hello, I would love to purchase one of these for my son. Does anyone know somewhere they sell or is anyone interested in building one for me?

    Thanks,
    Jeff -

You can get complete pedal car kits from Speedway Motors. But you need to get creative to make it "yours" :)

    emanchester,
Those are actually the wheels that came on the wagon originally. I just painted them to match the rest of the wagon. If I remember correctly, it was a "Toys R Us" Roadmaster Wagon.

Check out 4eight0 Wagons on Facebook. They are pretty cool. ;)

My 3 Grandsons are slowly getting too big for the pedal cars. Restored a pedal tractor for each on their 2nd birthdays. Built them all bikes from scrap last year and am almost finished with another bike for the youngest one. He asked if we could put it in a car show like we did with his old pedal car.

That's the problem with pedal cars, The kids outgrow them so quick!
that's why I like the Junior cars, much bigger and will fit even adults. Plus they are electric or gas powered.

Seen someone had posted a picture of my wagon on this site. So thought i would post couple more pictures of the build process, at least i will try. If no pictures show up, please keeping laughing down to a minimum. The wagon looks a little different now, it has all black wheels and a little taller tire in rear so it stands up higher when riding wheelies. Notice wheelie bars on rear already bent.... Motor started life as a 16hp now its pumping out 48hp sounds better then my harley now. Has a 5 speed tranny with reverse from a briggs lawn mower. And as always this project started out to be just a small motor setting in a wagon, and the madness grew from there. Any one else every have this problem?

    Nert,

Thanks for starting this. I have seen your green stroller around Jeff City. It looks great! Pictures online don't do justice to the detail on your little ride.

Here's a replica of a Lincoln that my Dad built from scratch based on a photograph of his Dad in the 20s.
