    That is sweet!!
What kind of motor runs that? and where did you get those actuators from?
I picked up another pedal car for my son and wanted to motorize it
but didnt know where to start as far as electric motors go. Any advise would be appreciated. Thanks

It's a 350watt motor from an electric scooter. The motor is about 5" in diameter.

The actuators are these ones from speedway.

    http://www.speedwaymotors.com/Linear-Actuators,7478.html

Yea, it gets real expensive real fast. The steering servo is a couple hundred $$$ couple more for the actuators, couple more for the speed controller, then add a radio system.

If you wanted to make it just electric where a kid would drive it you'd be in it for a lot less money that making it rc.

I learned a lot building this one and may start stock piling parts to build a '55 gasser version.

The rear height was setup by plastic blocks, almost identical to a leaf suspension. 2 bolts to remove them and there was no rubbing so she is staying down.

Here is are two I made for my youngins. The wagon is just a dollar store el cheapo that I made a frame for.The axle in front is just sheetmetal cut, bent formed and welded. The car was a clist pickup that I did the same thing with. The 9 year old is to "good" to ride in the wagon now so it has become my swap meet/cruise night cooler toter. My 4 year old still loves his Hotrod though

We picked this newer Gear Box car up for my daughter for $35 last fall. She loves the thing but is only 18 months right now and small for her age anyway so she is pretty much limited to sitting in it. I want to customise it some. Paint, interior, remove the faux grille cut that part of the body out and put an insert grille in. Maybe something like in the silver & pink car. I'd love to drop it but am too stupid to figure how how to do it, so if you have any input on that PLEASE let me know.

I'v been thinking flat black, custom stripes, with red or lime green wheels & Mexican blanket interior.

    OR

Dark purple metallic with pearl white fenders & purple tuck and roll inside

I'm open to other ideas and cheap mods i can do body work, paint & weld so i'm not afraid of too much.

Off topic? Yes... But I don't care. I run this place by a double standard, and this topic interests me a bit.

this is my first time actually posting pictures so hopefully it works out ok. the first one is a stroller i built for my daughter for her first birthday about a year and a half ago. try to dig up some better pics of it and the second is not a stroller but i'm still way proud of i. Santa brought an original but hot rodded 1941 steel craft pedal plane for her second christmas. cool thread thanks for reopening ryan

    Amazing build!

Curious what kind of foam was used for the seat. Currently I'm at that point and am in the process of contacting our local upholestry shop.

We finished up the inner fenders now we need to pick up some foam, fabric and bend the push bar.

    Need some inspiration. :)
