Last month I attended a Rat Rod show here in Lake Havasu City and took some photos that were sent to Hot Rod Hot Line's website. One was of the grill in this local 50 Lincoln and as I was admiring it, I wondered why this good looking grill wasn't used in customs back in the 50's ..... The big bumper guards detract from it somewhat, but I still like it. Maybe my memory is bad but I don't ever remember seeing a grill like this used before. Have you?
It is a neat looking grille, but each tooth is maybe 2" tall, and the grille is really wide. I can't picture a grille shell that would take that grille. Might look good as the center bar in a 49-52 Chevy grille, but most guys just used '52 Chevy grille teeth to make that happen.
I could have sworn that I have seen that done on a custom in the early 50s. One of my little books has it I cant reacall which one.
