I got my Custom Rodder mag yesterday and recognized a name and a wagon getting a window treatment. Good work, man.
why cant I find this damn mag here. I have been to 4 different sto's looking for dat issue, all of them have Street Rodder..
[ QUOTE ] RF, ya need to go MONTHLY, Bro!!! [/ QUOTE ] PLEASE NO!!!! A monthly this-car-is-totally-stock-except-for-wheels just doesn't cut it anymore...the title is Custom Rodder...I want to know where the "Custom" part falls into it... At least Weesner was into TRUE customs...cars that had real modifications...you know -- like removing the door handles & emblems, frenching the headlights, changing the taillights and grille...not simply a new paint job and shiney wheels!!! IMHO, the mag is going downhill...why spend my money on pictures of stock cars...I saw plenty of them when every damned one of them were showroom new!!! R-
I dunno, I kinda LIKE the newer focus they seem to be showing on how-to articles and last issue's slant towards Ford stuff was a cool departure from most other mags! Some feature cars may not do much for me, but overall, I think the cars they print are slick examples of what's being done with contemporary mods on old tin TODAY. It's not a very "trad" magazine, but I actually enjoy it! (I like a little variety...and CR balances out the trad stuff I get here!) GO MONTHLY!!!
Loved the article boones, may just have to use the tech on my wagon. As for CR, I also get tired of stock cars with big wheels and tech articles detailing another install of air bags. At least this issue has some good tech in it with dropped uprights, shaving handles and boones' article on wipers. They also have a cool '50 pontiac custom. Best issue in a long time, except mine was missing the first 10 pages.
Hey Boones - what this window treatment article about? let me know if you work out getting to knoxville later, Tudor
Roger, you kill me. The solution for you is simple...don't buy it; don't read it; don't even pick it up at the newsstand to see what's in the next issue. People like you will never, ever be happy with the content. Stick to the literature that caters to your taste and quit wasting your breath.
