Stripers of old would sign all their work small enough to be covered by a dime. A friend owned a 26-27 T needle-nosed Bonneville record holder(late 40s early 50s) ARDUN-powered roadster which was later used on the drag strip with HEMI-Chrysler power which was striped by Dean Jeffries. His signature was on the back panel in/near a design and did in fact fit under a dime.
