I'll tell you, when that limo high centers you can tell that that is one heavy, solid vehicle. And get a load of the width of the door surrounds. There must not be a lot of room inside with all the armor and so on.

The saddest thing (other than a vehicle like that seeming not to have any ground clearance adjustability) is that they built it on top of one of those fugly Cadillacs. How cool would it be - how much cl*** would it show - to build your Presidential limo underneath a huge old Caddy or Packard or whatever. Make it big and start with something that looked good big. Not a downsized used-to-be-the-marque-of-the-world, homely present-day Caddy.

Write off the five grand as a learning experience, take your car somewhere else. Don't worry about lawsuits, revenge, any of that ********. Get your car fixed right and learn your lesson. Lawyers will weave all kinds of wonderful, heartwarming stories so long as you're paying. Cut your losses.

Good catch. Someone should use the contact form on their web site to send them the link to this thread.

I only read half way thru this and got fed up with it. Who the hell would spend $5000 for this work in the first place? Or $16,000 for what he mentioned was "done"? He saw you coming, dude.

A little off topic, but I saw pics of that limo being built and it looks like it has a beam axle in front and leaves in back. Must be built on a 1 ton truck suspension.

  8. Jeebus, this thread needs to be firebombed. A good website does not make a qualified shop. And yes, the POTUS' Limo is truck based with caddy skin. read Jalopnik for petes sake.

The fact that the rear suspension is broken is evidence that this shop endangered your life through negligence. Have an engineer evaluate this and then explain to the judge why letting the shop correct its "mistake" is a bad idea. It doesn't matter what you built, they were supposed to correct it. "We'll fix it." didn't they say?

i think they let the "belt/hose" replacement guy handle yoursuspension.

Most probably the fabrication guys were all sick. Ive heard of a few guys injuring themself by clickin the mig gun in their ears or eyes to check for either gas or wire flow. Chances are its them.
