  1. That's a Ute, not a touring/tub/phaeton, and is currently for sale in the classifieds...

The white 29A tub looks like the one Lee Osborn built Years ago in Jamestown Indiana. I own the twin to it

My current Ray Vega style tub, thanks to Rik Hoving for the photo.

  12. No, they are a mix of original tubs and customs with the roofs cut off. most of the 4 Drs are original tubs. They are also called Convertible Sedans or Phaetons.

Can anyone enlighten me on the choice (if it was a choice) between having the doors (esp. rears in 4-door phaetons) being suicide vs "traditional"? I think I'm seeing most '33 and newer cars with the rear doors hinged at the front of the door, and '32s and older w/suicide rear doors, but then some of the As seem to be traditional rear doors?

Was it a choice when the car was ordered, or a result of the sub-model (Deluxe, Standard, etc.), or something else?

It's been great seeing all the different tubs out there - thanks to all the various photographers and posters!

That body with a restored chassis went for $21000 at the last auction. I was surprised that a restored Australian right hand drive Phaeton went for $22K as did a Gibbon glass bodied street rod.

  18. That's about right the dollar has dropped so much, 1980 $2200 is $22000 today.
