  12. FWIW, when i did my old T, I bolted the posts on like yours will be and simply used modern 3M glass adhesive to glue the glass in. Was fine until I jacked one side up too high and cracked it from cowl twist . Still works tho.

Wasn't sure if you were going with a 1 piece glass of a v-butt. If you were going 1 piece was going to ask where you were getting made.

  14. Uh, any good glass shop!?

Not too many options in Iowa lucky to find one that will cut flat glass in a pattern you made, and have it come out in the right shape.

  16. No offense but I highly doubt that. There are good glass guys all over the country.

i'll make the center like the sides but with a "duvalle" style peak....

good to know about the crack in the w/s ....never thought of it....i will be just polishing the bottoms and the top edges and glueing the sides, so i guess cowl twist would be a concern..

Great Tech! Exactly what I'd like to do on an old cowl I've got. Did you just flatten round tubing for the outer parts? Also, I don't see a slot for the glass. Did I miss something?

Oh, that windshield adhesive is pretty strong structurally. Glass installers also use a sticky tape type stuff they wrap around the glass edge, then tap the frame on gently. Might be more forgiving. It's used to put the side windows into the channel.

thanks guys ....lots of canadian support eh

The beauty of this template is you can fold it along the tape line to cut both sides at once and keep everything symmetrical

are they working now?...my puter has got aids

  27. I used a T-7840-H winshield rubber from Snyders on the bottom of mine to seal it. It is a lower case h shape and it went on upside down. Just a couple bucks and allowed some space between the glass and body.

thanks, i might make a bottom channel... duvalle style....i've seen some aftermarket cast w/s stanchions that the polished edge sits right on the paint....i'm not sure yet what i'll do...i have plenty of other rust issues to take care of while i think it over
