Recently my wife bought a 1960 Buick Lesabre .She would like to put custom wheeles on it. The car has bolts holding the wheeles on .How do I mount moder custom wheeles to this car properly ? Note I still like her so I want it right.

Welcome and please post an intro in the "new to the HAMB" section.

The main problem you will have is the giant front hub on the buick and finding a wheel in a 5x5" bolt pattern that fits and one you like. Also the offset needs to be right on to clear those drums. A 15" wheel can't have more than 3 and 1/2 offset or they rub the drums.

Good luck and post up some pictures. I also have a 1960 Lesabre.

The easiest (and perhaps best) solution to that problem is to go to a quality auto parts store and get a Dorman Products catalog and find some lug studs that have a serrated section of sufficient length and diameter and likewise for the threaded portion. The existing threads can be drilled out to an .015" to .020" interference fit and press in the new studs. Use a press, not a hammer and punch. I have done this to several Mopars that have a similar wheel bolt as your Buick. In fact, come to think of it, I did this about a year ago to my '40 Buick.
