Great job,I have been a machinist for over forty years .Nothing like having one of a kind pieces you make yourself. The problem is people see it appreciate what you did then steal it and have it cloned.I really have to give you credit keep it up.Joe

Thanks guys! I have been a machinist for almost 10 years and love it! working with all types of metal is a lesson by it self, but its worth it when you can say you made it and it works. The tap I used was a OSG 3/8-18 plug tap. The trick when drilling for a tap hole in stainless is go slow rpm and hard on the feed so you don't case harden the hole you are about to tap. I used Tap Magic. I love the way it smells like maple syrup!

Rogue63, Your rite that happens a lot. That's why If I see something I like I try and put my own spin on it to make it my own. That's what makes it our own baby.

I should have taken pics, But tonight I drilled and taped for Helicoils in both my Weiand heads spark plug holes from the wear and age. No mater how many times I use helicoils I still screw up at least one. Hot roding is a humbling toil! But still loving it!

  7. 28, know what you mean about helicoils on my Weiand heads I made a 3/4 inch thick plug that I welded into the existing spark plug holes, a stepped plug that allowed me to weld inside and outside now I can use 3/4 reach plugs opened up a whole new world.........as I hate helicoils for spark plug repair..........

My mama always told me a smart man was like hot roding, You could build a 1/4 mile car but You could always blame the school system for your failures on everything else! Or its the PBR. Ha Ha! Thanks Rancid737
