Lets hear your customising tips. Particularly late 50's - mid 60's. I'm building a custom 54 Dodge sedan (I know, 4 doors!) & I always have this need to do stuff different to the masses. Spose thats why I dont have a red 32 roadster with a 350/350 combo and billet wheels.
Here are generic tips: before you do ANYTHING to the car, figure out EVERYTHING you want to do to it, so it all goes together and flows when you're done. Anything that makes the car look lower, longer, or wider is good. Anything that doesn't is unecessary. Doing too little is better than doing too much. Don't make any change until you're sure it'll look better than stock and improve the overall looks of the car. Don't change anything just for the sake of changing it. The best kustoms always leave alone the parts of the car that work and change the ones that don't. The worst kustoms are where someone tried too hard to make it "custom" in every way. Here are specific ones for your car: the front end is sharp, don't mess with the grille or bumpers. Chop it, get rid of all excess chrome doodads, and you should be rockin'. And the final tip: do whatever YOU want to do (but don't expect others to like it!).
