I agree that the work is impressive, you should let it stand on it's own merit though. Saying F U doesn't make you a tough guy, it seems childish. You would get more respect just letting your work speak for itself.
I saw a guy that had CANT SPEL. I also knew this idiot that screwed up and got em backwards, it said CORE HARD... Yeah, nobody wants to mess with you when you're CORE HARD..
My Uncle has LOVE HATE across his knuckles, and if your like me it about sums up the relationship with your car.
I think it's cool, then again I am the last member of a car club called the*****heds...hahaha. Keep up the good work. -John
original idea and would be cool without the anger. maybe an old classic knucle tattoo like "hold fast" would be more appropriate?
I guess I'm too old school. To me,a lot of these new cars look like they were built by chopper guys. They have that FTW vibe to them, and that's OK, I guess, on a chopped up panhead with ape hangers but I don't see it fitting a "traditional" hot rod. Go back and study the reference material. This sort of "in your face" angst may have been around in the day, but it was RARELY voiced out in the open. In lots of small communities, back in the day, it could even get you a night in jail! In my humble, worthless opinion, cobwebs and skulls and such is better left to the bikes. I thought we were all about the cars, and some of what I see lately, it's no wonder the r#$ rod moniker fits some of these cars so well. Sorry guys, just the thoughts from a 60 year old geezer that was around then, and never saw some of the stuff that gets passed off as "traditional" now. Especially some of the "junkyard wars" engineering that's going on now. For instance, my sister's first boyfriend, not the idiot she ended up marrying, would come over and park his '32 5 window on the driveway. "Git yer**** outta my car kid !!!" Moons, white paint, red pinstriping, red and white roll and pleat. Full fendered, no chop, J2 Olds. That, kiddies, was traditional. Thanks, Mike
thanks...ya i'll admit its not as traditional as tapping away on your keyboard preachin about trying to get everybody to conform to the "good ol days" ....maybe i should do a real sculpture and sell it to by a hoodless highboy
Ancestors protect me.... May they protect you.... my car won't have any skulls or cob webs...or be a rat rod..not that anyone even asked....its the opposite of that, nobody can buy this from an ad in OSR, its origional. funny enough...my idea is, if i'm gonna go shiny paint ,i want to take the time and customize every piece...yes i want it to be different....i have many projects and it would get boring if they were all built the same i will admit that sometimes "hardcore " can be very close to "rat rodish"....oh well , nothing i can do about that...i guess we will see....thanks again for all the comments even the negative ones
I could make referrence to what one may, sometimes, find clutched in some guy's fists........................but I won't
Dude, it's been a LONG LONG TIME since I've laughed that hard. Sometimes things just 'hit' you the right way I guess.
good one bob....tell me, is that bandwagon as big a************** as the car in your avatar? did you even read what i said?
Is it traditional - probably not as nobody swore in the 50s, I know because I've watched every episode of Happy Days. Is this a traditional hot rod site - yes so of course a lot of guys wont be into it. But for my 2c, Im liking it, if for no other reason its stirred the pot here a little and a little rebellion is a beautiful thing but then I've never been very good with authority.
my work? i do the best with the stuff i have, i hand make everything...i also like to add a personal touch to make it my own...there is nothing more traditional than that, not even a website.
