Hey all, Anybody have a desc. pics of the headlight trim and stainless trim go together? I have these clips (pic) and can’t figure how they work. Do they clip into the three slots somehow? Thanks again all!
On my 53 it uses 3 of ones you have two of pictured on the top left. The open-end hooks onto the lip of the trim ring and the closed end then snaps into where you have circles drawn. Yours are a later year.
Thanks banging, I went ahead and had a beverage or four while I was thinking about it since I only had one and a half of the six clips I needed. A guy on fleabay wants $30 for a set of nos clips…. no thanks. So I took some wire I had and designed new clips. A pita but they’re in. Thanks again.
That is the way my spring steel ones install. The spring steel keeps them snug, but that way will work also.
